We have plenty to be thankful for this year. My biopsy on my thyroid - though rough (OMG) has been found to be benign. Not a single hint of malignancy! A week later, I still felt like I had a lump in my throat from the surgery. Slightly annoying, but considering what could have been - can't continue to complain. The doctor has me coming in next week, and he is talking medication - which medication I am not sure, but we'll see.

Thanksgiving went well - lots of great food and new people to meet.

Black Friday - is not generally my thing, however on Thursday we were watching TV and he saw this blade runner workshop that he would really like. Guess what I found on Menard's Black Friday specials - so I snuck out of the house Friday morning. I obtained both the Blade runner workshop and a fitness tracker for the eldest boy. For the youngest, I found a 12 in 1 tool he will like. For the daughter - bath and Body works (and I get a present as well). LOL Most of that was found online - so just waiting for delivery. I did find some secret wonderland for Bath and Body. Mom got me some last year and I am almost out of my bottle. Fantastic fragrance :)

Now for sales - also found me some jamberry nail wraps. can't wait for them to show up.

I myself - still sell Scentsy. So.... the Jolly Holiday sale

Scensty Cyber week sales - get ready for them!

Biopsy done - now to wait....

Today - bittersweet. I saw my surgeon, he completed the biopsy today. He handed the samples directly to the pathologist and we should have the results Monday. Thing that sucks - just found out my surgeon - will no longer be in my network as of January 1st :( So either I'll have to leave him or pay a higher deductible. Either way, he took four samples today. Four - OMG. The nodule and of the cyst.....

A lot has been going on. Some good - some bad. I am scheduled to graduate next year. Commencement will be in May in Iowa - looking very forward to it. Currently still holding a 3.80 GPA but it has not been an easy road. Lately, I have been having a few medical issues. Waking up with dizzy spells, some disorientation - tired and forgetful. First diagnosed with vertigo - was given Meclyzine to combat. The headaches I have been experiencing, she attributes to sinus - so Sudafed and Tylenol. Not permitted Advil. Why? Because my stomach is also hurting - which she attributes to the nausea and throwing up I have been having with the dizzy spells. So for that Ameperazole. We also did an ultrasound on the thyroid. Back story: I have a growth that was found in 2009. Determined benign. Was told to have a US to monitor. I had one in 2010, everything still great, then things became tight, and I meant to have another one and didn't. So now, they nodule has grown - when it started to grow we do not know. I will get more information Monday, but for now they are scheduling me for a surgical consult. Uriah and Logan are doing well..... growing like weeds. Uriah is in choir and band - trying to sustain some AP courses so he can raise his GPA for college considerance. Logan is just Logan - 7th grade and into mischief - it's just the age. When Uriah gets annoyed I remind him he was the same blasted way. Uriah gets annoyed frequently with his busy and mischievous brother. Has to be the trying to be an adult yet a teen stage. So that is it for now....maybe update in a few days when I find out more.

New Experiences.......

The latest thing for me - training to be a Lean Assessment Auditor. I did not want to say anything sooner because I thought - to good to be true. Sunday we left at 2 p.m. and drove to Baldwin, WI. Stayed in a nice place called AmericInn. Left at noon on Tuesday to go back home. It was really neat to see the Baldwin plant - they do metal fabrication - our big huge torit units - are built there. Even cooler - one of our filters we used to build - a Tall Element - they were installing them in a unit. The employees were great and hospitable. Visiting Wisconsin, we dined at Texas Roadhouse one day and the other we dined at Pier 500. Pier 500 had a chicken wild rice soup that was to die for. I could have made a meal of the soup! I am glad to have my first auditor training under my belt. Let's see how next week goes :) Cause I am going Again! Woot woot!

Hi! I'm back!

It has been a long time since I have blogged, but then I have also been a very busy little girl. The kids are doing great. Logan is in 6th grade, has joined the band, plays the saxophone like his brother. Not sure if he chose that instrument because it was the one we currently had and out of necessity, or because he likes the saxophone. Uriah is a sophomore in high school now. He plays in the band, marching band called the Marching Dukes whatever saxophone they throw at him. Pep band in the Winter - and now he is venturing further into drama but joining the Spring musical Footloose (can't wait - one of my favorite movies). Me - I am currently a Junior in college - that's right COLLEGE. I started a four year program about 2 and a half years ago - yes I have been gone THAT long. See - I said BUSY. I am attending Ashford University. I am taking the courses online though the campus is just a hop/skip/jump (Ok - you got me a 40 minute drive). I am currently double majoring and have a minor. My main major is project Management and my second major is Human Resources Management and the minor is Business Administration. The difference in Project Management and Business Administration - MATH. Oh good Lord the math is awful. Math was easy till they decide to throw the alphabet and symbols into it. No thank you! I have been trying so hard to keep my grades up and sometimes that can be a challenge. I have two boys to tend to, we did have Cub Scouts, but now Cub Scouts has turned into Boy Scouts. I currently hold the spot of Advancement Chair in my sons troop. The Moose we had to drop down to volunteering one Tuesday a month. I just had too much going on and my academics are just too important to me. Plus the kids social lives became so much busier. Then you have work. Both Dave and I work full time - still working different shifts. I must say - without his help, I could not have made it this far even if I wanted to. Thursday evenings after I get off from work, he takes the kids, he tends to the dinner - all I do is finish my assignments that are due that day. The routine id the same. Discussions are due Thursday - every Thursday. Tests are due on Sundays and Papers are due on Mondays. Mostly 8 to 10 page papers, but once in a while I get a little one. My last little paper, I was actually docked for going over on pages. Oy! See if I do that again. I was invited to join Alpha Sigma Lambda last year, have been on the Dean's list every quarter since I was eligible and this year invited to join Golden Key. Top 15% of my class thus far keeping my GPA above 3.75. This is huge to me. I did well in high school, but I was stupid and out of principle with an issue with administration, dropped out and obtained my GED from the local college. Then married and divorced before I was even 20. So to finally be getting ahead is a big deal. My husband and I just celebrated out 15 wedding anniversary, I am doing well at work, love my job most of the time, have a great supervisor and in a little over a year will have a degree.
I mentioned my husband and I just celebrated our 15th wedding anniversary - you know what we did to celebrate? Not much at the moment, but the weekend is not over yet. We exchanged cards, kisses and hugs. Then last night, we took the interstate and drove to Dekalb to go to a Panda. Yep - a Panda Express..and it was fricking good :) Today Dave may take the kidlet out ice fishing - we are kind of dealing with a slight water problem at the moment, so the fishing may not happen. We have had buku amounts of snow fall, followed by thaw and rain. Our neighbors inadvertently created an issue for us by digging a trench through the snowpile to divert the lake being created in their driveway. Unfortunately instead of going into the backyard, it came straight for our house, came through the windows and left quite a mess in the basement. The humidity level in my home is quite sufficient right now. Well - back to doing laundry. I still have a test to take, a paper to write and we have Court of Honor for Boy Scouts tomorrow, so I better head to it! I will try not to be such a stranger from now on!
